(Mr. Temple) has recently finished filming Michael Mann's "Miami Vice" opposite Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx. Oritz has also appeared in such films as "Narc," "Ransom," "Carlito's Way" and "Amistad." Other film credits include "Riot," "Side Streets," "Sgt. Bilko," "Before Night Falls," "The Opportunists" and "The Last Marshall."
On television, Ortiz recently was the lead in CBS' "Clubhouse". He spent two seasons playing Ruben Sommariba in the ABC series "The Job" with Denis Leary. He was also a series regular on the FOX's "Lush Life", had a recurring role on the CBS's "The Handler", and had guest roles on, "New York Undercover," "Law and Orcder" and "Touched By An Angel".
Ortiz is also an award-winning stage actor who co-founded, with actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, the LAByrinth Theatre Company. His theatre credits include the Broadway production of "Anna in the Tropics", "The Skin of our Teeth", with Jon Goodman at the Public Theatre, "Clouds Tectonics" at Playwrights Horizon, and "The Persian" and "Merchants of Venice", both directed by Peter Sellars and performed in such cities as Paris, London, Berlin, and Edinburgh. Regionally, he has performed at the Mark Taper Forum, The Goodman, Hartford Stage, Arena Stage, Yale Repertory, South Coast Repertory and Cincinnati Playhouse.
